Low insulin level promotes release of growth hormones. These hormones require energy that they take from the fats stored in the body. So there is a fat loss in the body. This means from a Low GI diet we get not only healthy diet but also a diet that reduces the weight problems.

The benefit of a Low GI diet is that the foods that are included in such diets are the traditional foods that were known to people for their goodness.
